Couples intensives

Sometimes one hour at a time isn't enough.

When a relationship is hurting, making meaningful progress in a traditional 50-minute weekly session can be difficult. You may spend most of the session catching up on what happened during the week — only to run out of time just as you begin getting to the heart of the issue.

Our couples intensives

A weekend focused on your relationship.

Ometz Health offers focused, weekend couples intensives designed to give you and your partner dedicated time to step away from everyday distractions and work deeply on your relationship.

Instead of spreading the work across months of weekly appointments, we spend an extended block of time together identifying patterns, understanding what is happening beneath the conflict, and practicing new ways of connecting.

Your intensive is structured around the specific needs of your relationship. The weekend may include:

  • A comprehensive assessment of your relationship
  • Identifying recurring conflict patterns and areas of gridlock
  • Understanding the emotions and needs underneath those patterns
  • Improving communication and conflict-management skills
  • Rebuilding friendship, trust, and emotional connection
  • Addressing intimacy and disconnection
  • Working through betrayal, resentment, or unresolved hurt when appropriate
  • Developing practical tools to take home with you
  • Creating a plan for what comes next after the intensive
Our approach draws from evidence-based couples therapy, including principles from the Gottman Method, while remaining responsive to the unique history, values, and goals of each couple.
