Adult Intake Assessment & Financial Intake 2 – 2.5 hours

  • Intakes are a walk-in basis Mon, Wed, & Fri. 8:00am – 2:30pm (First come first serve)
  • Intake Forms can be found on the CSB website under the documents page. You should be able to complete the form prior to arriving at the CSB.

Children Intake Assessment (up to 18 years in age)

  • Schedule by calling 540-434-1941 & ask to speak to an intake staff member.
  • Intakes are on Tuesdays from 9am – 2:30pm & Thursdays from 8:30am – 2:30pm.
  • A legal guardian and the child need to be present during the intake process.
  • Initial intakes will be over the phone & the packet is found on the CSB website under the documents page.

  • Provides essential transportation services to low income and Asset Limited, Income Constrained and Employed (ALICE) workers to ensure they maintain employment and access to essential community services.
  • This is an organization, not an entitlement program.

MUST

  • Reside in Harrisonburg city or Rockingham County (VA).
  • Currently employed and working a minimum of 30 hours per week for at least 3 months with same employer.
  • Recommendation for services by a representative of a local agency or community organization (e.g. social workers, case manager or similar) who is familiar with the household’s needs, resources, and employment history.
  • A referral application needs to be submitted by a referring agent for services to be considered for a client.

TRANSPORTATION SERVICES

  • Donated vehicles
  • Repairs, including state inspection
  • Vehicle insurance premium payment
  • Vehicle fees (registration, license reinstatement)
  • Gas Vouchers
  • Monthly payment to a bank or finance company
  • Driving lessons to obtain a Virginia driver's license, driver improvement course
  • Other urgent transportation needs to maintain employment
  • Clients requesting assistance with vehicle repair, vehicle loan payment, or vehicle insurance payment must possess a valid driver's license to be considered for these services.
  • Taxes and tags must be up to date
  • Suspended license-must have money to cover jurisdictional fines (if applicable) and DMV fines.
